Just The Facts Please

Facts are easy to quantify. Rhetoric is not. Talking points are not. The facts are so staggering that politicians and the media don’t want us to understand them. Here are a couple of facts that no one can dispute.

Year                                       Federal Revenue                                             Federal Spending
2000                                       $2,052 Billion                                                      $1,789 Billion

2011                                       $2,303 Billion                                                      $3,603 Billion

Percent Change                     13%                                                                        101%

Would someone please explain to me why we keep electing the same people who could not understand that we cannot continue to grow spending at a rate of more than 100 percent over a decade while revenue only grew by 13% over the same period.

Please press the reset button. We need to start over.
